Version 1 · Last updated

If you have a complaint about Crushly — about content or behaviour on the service, a decision we took on your account, or how your personal data is handled — you can raise it with our grievance officer.

Grievance officer

  • Name: [to be published before launch]
  • Email: [to be published before launch]
  • Phone: [to be published before launch]
  • Address: NioDelta Web Studio, Nasik, Maharashtra, India

The grievance officer is designated for the purposes of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and for complaints about personal data.

What to include

So that we can act on a complaint without writing back for basics, please include:

  • Your name and how to reach you
  • The phone number registered on your Crushly account, if you have one
  • What the complaint is about, and when it happened
  • Where on the service it is — for example the name on the profile concerned
  • Any reference number you were given for an earlier report or support request

Do not send intimate images or material involving children. Describe it instead.

How complaints are handled

The Rules set out the timelines an intermediary is expected to follow: a complaint is to be acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days of receipt, and a complaint about content that exposes a person's private parts, shows them in a sexual act, or impersonates them is to be acted on within 24 hours. Our grievance officer works to those timelines.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, the Rules allow you to appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India, at gac.gov.in.
