Community Guidelines

Version 2 · Last updated

Crushly is for adults aged 18 and over who want to meet people with honesty and respect. These guidelines apply to your profile, your photos, your messages and how you behave when you meet.

Be yourself

  • Use your own name, your real age and recent photos of you
  • One account per person
  • Say what you are actually looking for

Be respectful

  • Accept "no", and silence, as an answer
  • Do not pressure anyone to share contact details, photos, or to meet
  • Disagree without insults

Zero tolerance: child sexual abuse and exploitation

We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. That includes any content that sexualises minors, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any attempt to contact or meet a minor. Accounts involved are banned, and we report to the appropriate authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Nobody under 18 is allowed on Crushly. Our full policy is in the Child Safety Standards.

Also not allowed

  • Harassment and threats — abuse, stalking, intimidation, or encouraging harm
  • Hate — attacks on people because of religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability or origin
  • Non-consensual intimate content — sharing or threatening to share private images of anyone
  • Sexual content — nudity or sexually explicit photos or text in profiles, and unsolicited sexual messages
  • Paid arrangements — offering or asking for money, gifts or other compensation in exchange for dates, companionship or sexual services
  • Scams and fraud — asking for money, investment or financial details, for any reason
  • Impersonation — pretending to be someone else, or using other people's photos
  • Spam and promotion — advertising, selling, or sending people to other platforms in bulk
  • Illegal activity — anything unlawful, including the sale of drugs or weapons

Reporting

Use Report in the app on any profile, photo, message or conversation. You can still report someone after you have unmatched or blocked them. Choose the category that fits best; reports about children, threats and intimate images are handled first.

You can also block anyone. Blocking is immediate and silent: the match ends and neither of you can find or contact the other.

For child-safety concerns you can also write to the contact on the Child Safety Standards page.

What happens when you report

A person on our team reviews each report. Staff do not read conversations in general; a reviewer can see the messages in a reported conversation only as part of that report, and that access is logged. Depending on what we find we may remove content, warn, restrict, suspend or ban the account. We do not tell the other person who reported them.

Review takes time and is not instant. If you are in danger, call 112 first.

If we take action on your account

You will be told in the app, and you can appeal there. A person reviews every appeal.
